brrrrr, it's freezing! scott is working this morning (nothing out of the ordinary), :) and the boys are playing so well together. i've been sitting in this chair for 2 hours now, haven't moved much (except to clean up the ENTIRE cup of coffee that drew spilled allllll over the carpet). reed is now down for his morning snooze and i'm watching country music videos and reading blogs, facebook, email, etc. while drew is deep, deep in serious play with his thomas trains. this child has been seriously obsessed with his trains for a few days now. he goes in phases, didn't play much with his trains for the last couple months and now all of the sudden just can't get enough of them! it's so cute to hear him go through these scenarios with them and then all the sudden i hear "all aboard", or "edward is taking the coal cart to the station", too funny! i can't remember the last time i just sat here like this for this long, i kinda like it. ;) though it's times like this that i wish we had cable, i wanna sit here and watch cooking shows on the food network or some really stupid pointless reality show. the best i can do is PBS cooking shows and country music videos, ah well.
we have an ugly christmas sweater party tonight at my sister's house. i got scott the UGLIEST green sweater vest with a red turtle neck to go under it. not only is it extremely ugly, totally faded, and a little WT, it's also a size small from maurices (yes, that would be a women's store), should be hilarious. it'll fit his personality to a T (hehehehe). i'll be sportin' a beautiful sweater with fashionable reindeer (including their big red noses) alll over it, nice. i also made my mom's sugar cookies, the BEST in the world, for the party. they could very quite possibly win an award. i'm thinking we should consider turning them into a money maker of some sort, seriously...
k all, i'm off to enjoy a nice, quiet saturday morning doing a whole lot of NOTHIN'........
